Region
The winery is in Brendola (Vicenza), a window on Berici Hills. The town is a typical and suggestive part of VENETO, both in its cultural and natural aspects, partly still intact. Brendola is known for its church called “Incompiuta”, whose construction was never completed, and for the Rocca dei Vescovi, a 10th century castle which became its symbol. From the village start numerous itineraries to follow and discovering landscape beauties, buildings,included Venetian villas, such as Villa Piovene, with the airy fifteenth-century loggia, the Oratorio Revese, with frescoes by Giovanni Buonconsiglio, Villa Groppato Veronese and many others. Not far from Brendola stands Vicenza, the city of Palladio, a Unesco and WORLD Heritage.As a suggestion of Italian Renaissance, Vicenza has an exceptional artistic achievement for numerous Palladian architectural contributions, such as the Olympic Theater, the Basilica, the Rotonda, Palazzo Chiericati that make Vicenza a famous city in the world. Brendola is not far from Verona with the Arena and Juliet’s house, Venice with its lagoon, gondolas and masterpieces, which make it a unique city in the world.
Our story
In 1970 Gianni Chiarello began his great adventure as an entrepreneur in Brendola. The family run company now includes 20 hectares of vineyards all with ideal sun exposure. The cellar is the heart of the business, where the grapes from our vineyards are expertly transformed into wine. The true passion and capable dedication of the entire family drive the management of the vineyards in the various seasonal passages, and the management of all stages of the cellar. The Chiarello family recognizes the territory as a habitat for highly calibrated wines, both with native and international grapes, enhancing their characteristics so that the wines can compete with the most rigorous olfactory and gustatory tests.
Winery
The Chiarello winery was expanded and renovated in 2011, with a new building integrated into the area just outside Brendola.
With modern equipment, all vinification and bottling operations take place directly in the cellar, where a constant search for new technologies is carried out to obtain high quality wines.
For this reason, the Chiarello winery was also awarded by the Vicenza Chamber of Commerce with the gold medal for economic progress:
